Good morning! I have been reading everybody's blogs, and Christmas decorations seem to be the theme. We also took advantage of our long weekend to get our house in the Christmas spirit. Aaron put up the tree and lights Friday morning, and then we spent the afternoon and evening decorating the house and tree. Unfortunately we have an artificial tree, so there was no cutting down or picking out to be done, but it is really pretty, easy, and it doesn't make me sick with allergies. So, it works for us. It is actually one of my favorite Estate sale finds. It is a very nice, realistic, 8 ft. tree that I got at a sale for $20 the year we moved into this house! Walker mainly slept through the decorating(except for the hanging of his own little stocking), and the dogs joined the festivities by wearing their favorite reindeer antlers and jingle bell collars for a little while!
We are so excited for Christmas this year. It is always amazing and humbling to reflect on the helpless form that Christ took on in the incarnation, but looking at our tiny baby boy really brings home the reality. Jesus humbled himself, taking on our bodies, and not even our adult bodies, but the body of a completely dependent newborn, so that he might serve as the propitiation for our sin in his death! What an amazing gift! It makes all our shopping and preparation seem so useless when we meditate on his sacrifice and ultimate gift.
Now here a few pictures of our precious little guy and Katie being the first extended family Walker to hold the newest Walker!
First smile!!!

Wow I'm the first to comment! We have a fake tree too, we just got it this year! Walker is so cute. I wish our Daisy could just hang out in the house wherever she wants. But the pic with walker and -is it Bell?- is super cute.
Merry Christmas to all y'all. Yup, that first Christmas with a newborn is really special. I'm looking forward to a first Christmas with a newgrandborn.
If you can buy a tree (probably worth $200) for $20, you should go into the house buying and reselling business (just think. A $1 Million house for $100K).
Justin's favorite picture is the Sic 'em Bears. I like the smile :) Which stocking is Walker's??
I'm a big fan of the no allergies and fake tree foundation. I like yours. We got a new tree this year 'cause we had to move. It's not completely decorated yet but it is up and bringing cheer.
I am so glad there are new pictures of your baby boy. Your tree is very nice. What an awesome deal you got on it. I think that I would go for a fake one if we could find a deal like that
Cute little fella, I can't wait to see him in person. Merry Christmas!! Nice tree, I miss y'all!
I miss the little guy! He's so cute and cuddly!! :) Again, I feel very priviledged to be the first of the extended Walkers (although I am no longer a Walker by name) to get to hold him. I've told a few people, but now it's in writing with a picture to back it up!
The tree looks even better now that y'all have finished decorating!
So I know your busy with the kid but the rest of us need new pictures!
