Welcome Walker

Hello everybody! So sorry that we haven't updated with information and pictures of our new little boy. He is just so darling that we have trouble coming upstairs and working with the dumb computer when we could look at him. Now, however, Aaron put all our pictures on my computer, Walker is napping while his Mimi holds him, and I am updating the blog.

All is well. Walker is perfectly healthy, gaining weight, changing every day, and sleeping like an angel! He sleeps about 4 hours at a time during the night, so I am actually quite rested and able to easily make it through the day without a nap. I think I've got him on a schedule where he eats at 9:30, goes down at 10:00, and then I just have one feeding at 2:00 am before morning and time to get up anyway comes. The Lord has blessed me because I am not a "middle of the night, not get much sleep" kind of girl! When he is awake, he just looks around and makes cute faces. He has started to push up with his arms and legs when you hold him to burp, and he tries to lift his head up, which usually results in it suddenly flopping back down.

The dogs are adjusting well. Abraham is happy to have a new family member, but he does not like it when Walker cries. It makes him all nervous. Bella is glad that we got her a baby, and she thinks that I am not really the best mom she's ever seen ... not enough licking. We are having a great time with our new family. Speaking of dogs, I find it funny that Kyle and Lyndsay have Morris Walker, and we have Bella Morris. Great names!

Here are a few pictures for anyone who wants to see more than Mimi and Poppy have already posted!
Walker is cheering for his Aunt Noelle's school. He is very family-oriented, otherwise he NEVER cheer for any team but Baylor! This weekend, he will be a Baylor Bear all the way!

Here is our family in the hospital parking garage and Walker in his seat on our way home for the first time!

I need you to post or email me pictures all the time! I am so sad I haven't been able to see him this week. I have 2 pictures up at my desk so I can wish I was holding him. It has been a bad week at work :( How about Thursday night for real? We can talk about Italian.

Italian sounds great. Can I come over too. Zachary never lets me get Italian because he is not a big fan. Your baby is adorable but I am sure I don't have to tell you that. It worries me too about getting up in the middle of the night with a new baby because I am a sleeper too. But hopefully I will have a burst of energy whenever the day comes.

He is absolutely *adorable*, I can't wait to hold him! That's great that you're able to wake up at night with him and still be good to go in the morning. I would be worried about that as well. I guess God builds in that ability for mothers-to-be and we just don't know it till we have reason to use it!
Congrats again, y'all are such a cute little family! :)
