Spring Cleaning

You know how sometimes you look around your house and it just starts to make you clausterphobic? I mean, all of a sudden, you realize that there is stuff on every surface, in every nook and cranny, and it's all covered in dust! That happened to me last weekend. So, this week, I am spring cleaning. I did the back of the house yesterday, I'm doing the front Friday, and the upstairs on Saturday. I am paring everything down and summerizing the decor, cleaning out all the closets and drawers, and giving all the surfaces a good scouring.

Yesterday, I changed out bedroom by taking down the sheer curtains and changing the pillows and throw on our bed to a more summery palate, cleaned out the hall closet, and sorted through the thousands of sample shampoos and lotions that I for some reason feel the need to keep in the bathroom. I also had to clean out the nursery. It has to be done all the time because Walker is constantly changing what he uses and outgrowing his clothes! Now I have a clean back of the house, a giant trashbag full of stuff, a big box of stuff for a garage sale, and a couple of boxes of baby stuff for the attic. I feel like a true housewife. It's true when they say, "She works in the home..." I worked harder yesterday than anyday when I go to work! Walker helped me all day. He was quite the little angel, either napping, or playing happily while I worked. The dogs were no help. They just napped and dropped their fur everywhere!

If Walker was napping and/or playing, it doesn't sound like he was much help either :)

Wow! I saw the picture of Walker sitting quietly while you cleaned. If that bear-looking thing he is leaning on is hair from your dogs, they *are* dropping a lot of fur! Luckily, they shed in an aesthetic manner. See if you can get them to shed a new afghan for your living room.

ahh, yes spring cleaning is great when it is all said and done. It is amazing how much stuff you can accumulate in a short period of time.

I think that Walker is getting cuter! He looks like he would be fun to have around!

Wow, that sounds like a lot of work! I'm glad you get to do it though. Walker is so cute!

I like cleaning as long as I'm not required to do it.
